We were initially drawn in by the promise of family-friendly amenities, and while there were a few highlights, there was also a fair amount of room for improvement. The check-in process was efficient, which was a relief after a long drive. Our room was equipped with air conditioning-a blessing in the summer heat-not quite as refreshing as I had hoped, though it served its purpose. We appreciated the DVD player; It kept the kids entertained during downtime. The stale smell in our room was a bit off-putting. We made do with some air circulation, but I wish it had felt more inviting. We were looking forward to enjoying the pool, but it felt a bit outdated and we opted not to swim. While the Motor Inn did the job for a family getaway, it didn't quite hit the mark for us.
